Terms of use

Last updated 2026-08-14

Short version: read anything here, quote it with a link, do not pretend you wrote it, and do not treat a guide as a guarantee about a game that someone else controls.

What this site is

Alderviq publishes written guides about casual puzzle games. It is an independent commentary site. It is not operated by, licensed by or connected to any game studio, and it is not a support channel for any game.

Accuracy

The guides are written from playing the games and are correct as far as I can establish on the date shown on each page. The games are updated by their developers without notice, and a rule described here may change the week after it is published. Everything on this site is therefore provided as is, without a warranty that it is complete or current.

What the site does not do

  • It does not sell in-game currency, lives, boosters, items or accounts, and no page here can add anything to a game.
  • It does not host, mirror or link to modified game builds, private servers or files of any kind.
  • It does not offer prizes, competitions or anything that can be won.
  • It does not process payments. Nothing on this site takes a card number, and no payment page exists here.

If you find a site claiming to be Alderviq and doing any of the above, it is not this site.

Ordering the handbook

One item is sold from this site: a PDF handbook, written by the publisher, described on the handbook page.

Who you are buying from. An individual, Thomas Evans of Hobart, Tasmania, selling occasionally rather than as a registered business. There is no ABN and no GST registration, so no tax invoice is issued; a plain receipt is available on request. The price shown is the total, in Australian dollars.

How an order is made. Sending the form is a request, not a purchase, and charges you nothing. A contract exists only once I have confirmed the order by email and you have paid. Payment is by bank transfer arranged over email; no card details are entered on this site.

Delivery. The file is emailed within two business days of the payment clearing, to the address given on the form. If it has not arrived, write and it will be resent.

Refunds and consumer guarantees. If the file is not delivered, will not open, or is not what the handbook page describes, you may have it fixed, replaced or refunded, and that is your choice rather than mine. This sits alongside the guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. Because the product is a digital file delivered immediately, there is no automatic change-of-mind right, but if you write before it is sent the order is cancelled and nothing is charged.

Using the material

The text, the layout and the site's own graphics are the publisher's work. You may quote a reasonable extract for review, comment or teaching if you name the source and link to the page. Republishing whole guides, or feeding them into a product that reproduces them, needs written permission first, which is usually given when asked.

Game names, logos and screenshots are the property of their respective owners and appear here for identification and commentary under fair dealing. They are not licensed to you by this site.

Links to other sites

Links point at official store listings and other publishers' pages. Those destinations are outside this site's control, and neither their content nor their availability is something this site can be responsible for. A link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific page linked.

Limits of responsibility

Use of this site is at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for loss arising from acting on a guide, from a game behaving differently than described, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be limited.

Conduct

The contact form is for messages about this site. Do not use it to send bulk mail, malicious content, or requests to buy links or place advertising; those go straight in the bin. Attempting to disrupt the site or its hosting is not welcome and may be reported.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of Tasmania and the Commonwealth of Australia. If they change, the date at the top of the page changes with them, and continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.
